The HITRIplus Networking pillar recently participated in London Global Cancer Week, advancing global efforts to improve access to cancer care. Representing HITRIplus, Prof. Manjit Dosanjh from the University of Oxford and CERN spoke in the “Cancer Moonshot 2.0” session, organized by Global Health Catalysts and hosted by Elekta Limited. Alongside Dr. Rajesh Jena from the University of Cambridge, Prof. Dosanjh spotlighted the transformative role of AI in radiotherapy, especially for expanding access in underserved regions.

This participation aligns with HITRIplus’s mission to advance global equity in cancer treatment, addressing disparities in access to critical technologies. The session included insights from the Access to Radiotherapy Technologies (ART) study, which has mapped out substantial radiotherapy access gaps in low-resource settings.
