Registration is now open for the 8th Seminar of HITRIplusThe Past, Present, and Future of CIRT for Cervical Cancer: Implementation of “Immuno-CIRT” considering the radiation-induced anti-tumor immune response, scheduled for November 16 (from 17:00 to 18:00).

Dr. Noriyuki Okonogi, Ph.D., M.D. is a radiation oncologist with expertise in IMRT, brachytherapy and particle therapy. He is chief physician (Radiation Oncologist) for the Department of Charged Particle Therapy Research at the National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology / QST Hospital, where he leads the Clinical Research Group in Pelvic tumor. In addition, he is a research fellow in Radiation Oncology at the Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School) and a member of the Japan Society of Gynecologic Oncology (a board member) and of the forum for Nuclear Cooperation (Asia).

Current scientific activity is focused on cervical cancer and pelvic tumor, Carbon-ion RT (basic and clinical researches), combination of RT and immunotherapy (clinical research) and radiation-induced cell response in non-irradiated cells. He is the recipient of multiple research funds from the prestigious Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
